The Lord Howe Island Board advises residents of upcoming changes to the Waste Management Facility (WMF) schedule in June.

Due to the King’s Birthday Public Holiday the WMF will be closed on Monday 9 June 2025. To accommodate this, the facility will instead open on Tuesday 10 June 2025.

Following this period, normal winter trading hours will resume.

The WMF will also be completely closed on Friday 20 June 2025. This is a non-service day for household waste, and no access will be available for waste disposal, by appointment or otherwise.

Community members are encouraged to plan ahead to avoid inconvenience.
