Flying drones on the Island
If you are planning on visiting Lord Howe Island and would like to fly your drone for recreational purposes, please refer to the information about using and flying drones safely on the Civil Aviation Safety Authority website. The controlled airspace statement does not apply. Please see the Drone Operations Map below, as red boundary indicates aircraft arrival and departure paths where drones are not permissible. Please be aware that you must not fly over people and/or houses without express permission and if manned aircraft are operating on the Island you must bring your drone to ground.
