The Lord Howe Island Board is seeking a highly organised Executive Assistant to support a busy Senior Executive team. In this challenging but rewarding role, you will be the first point of contact for all senior executive administrative support services. 

As the Executive Assistant you’ll work closely with several Senior Executives primarily the LHIB CEO. You’ll provide a range of executive support services including diary, records and correspondence management, document preparation, meeting scheduling and support including minutes, agendas, travel, catering and accommodation arrangements.

About you

The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative and executive support to the CEO and Senior Management Team, managing diaries, correspondence, travel, and meetings to ensure smooth operations and timely follow-up.

You will support the Lord Howe Island Board by coordinating agendas, preparing business papers, minuting meetings, and organising travel and catering. The role also liaises with the Audit and Risk Committee secretariat and assists with document and presentation preparation, as well as managing correspondence and registers.

Working closely with the CEO and executives, you will prioritise and filter information, escalate urgent issues, and refer operational matters as needed. You will also project manage administrative tasks, improve policies, conduct research to support strategic decision-making, and liaise with Ministerial and Secretary Offices on confidential and complex matters.


Essential Requirements

  • Experience providing support for executive management
  • High level computer skills, particular the use of Microsoft Office suite
