Notice is provided that the Lord Howe Island Local Environmental Plan (LEP) has been amended, as published in the NSW Government Gazette.

Boat maintenance and repair is now a permitted activity within designated areas in the foreshore without development consent by approval of the LHIB CEO on the prescribed form. 

New guidelines for boat repair and maintenance have also been approved and can be found on our website here.

We are continuing to review the Foreshore Management Plan to reflect the LEP changes and other matters.
