Have your say on the Lord Howe Island Community Strategic Plan - Community survey open NOW

A survey is now open for community members to have your say on identified themes and priorities for the Lord Howe Island Community Strategic Plan (CSP).

The survey questions have been developed based on community insights from recent community consultations and represent the ideas put forward in the February workshops.

This is an opportunity for you to check that we have heard you accurately, as well as providing an additional chance to give feedback and ideas to ensure we capture the community’s collective vision for the next 10 years.

Please complete the 15-minute online survey here by Sunday 21 April 2024.

Paper copies will be available at the LHIB Office and will be posted to those who receive householders via post.

What happens next:

  1. Consolidation of feedback: The team is consolidating the input received during the workshops to integrate it into a draft CSP. This process involves analysing all feedback to ensure comprehensive representation of community priorities. This will then be reviewed against relevant state and federal considerations as well as the Board's legislative responsibilities to provide a final draft CSP in May 2024.
  2. Additional engagement: To capture additional information, engagement sessions will be organised with several additional groups that have had low participation in the process so far. These sessions will provide additional insights into the needs and aspirations of various community groups.
  3. Draft Community Strategic Plan: A draft CSP is due to be tabled at the May 2024 meeting of the Board, to be considered for community exhibition.
  4. Community Strategic Plan on community exhibition: April-June 2024.
