We’re excited to announce that the Community Book Exchange will officially open on Monday 23 June at 10:00am in the former Island Showcase Building.
 

This welcoming new space is open to everyone, both the Island community and visitors, and is designed to encourage the free and easy exchange of pre-loved books. There's no need to check books in or out. Simply take a book, leave a book, or both — it’s that simple.
 

A satellite bookshelf is also available at the airport, offering a convenient option for travellers to pick up a new read or pass one along on their journey.
 

Thanks to the generous donations already received, the collection is off to a strong start, and it will continue to grow as more people participate Thanks to all who’ve donated so far. If you’d like to contribute, a donation box will be available just inside the Book Exchange door from 23 June onwards. The committee will regularly sort through new contributions to keep the shelves fresh and accessible.
 

A big thank you to the community members and volunteers who helped bring this idea to life. As a community-run initiative, we kindly ask that you respect the books, and the space, to help keep the exchange welcoming and enjoyable for all.
