Election to take place for new term of Islander Board Members

The current term of the four local (Islander) Board Members concludes on 28 February 2024. 

An election will be conducted by the NSW Electoral Commission to appoint four Members for a new 3-year term in accordance with Division 3 of the Lord Howe Island Act 1953.

Nominations for potential Board Members will open for Islanders from Friday 12 - Thursday 25 January 2024. If the election is contested, an Election Day will take place on Thursday, 15 February 2024 from 8am - 6pm.

The full election milestone dates are on the NSW Electoral Commission website. The Commission  will provide further information about the process.
