Householder - Applications Open - Bush Regenerators

The Lord Howe Island Board has multiple opportunities available for Bush Regenerators to join a small close-knit team. Applications close on Sunday, 24 September 2023.

About the role

In this role you will work towards maintaining World Heritage and Permanent Park Preserve values and aid the conservation of native flora and fauna.

As a Bush Regenerator, you will conduct essential weeding through efficient grid search and control of weed infestations on Lord Howe Island. With guidance from the Team Leader and Field Supervisor, you will work in accordance with a defined plan, strategy and policies which support restoration outcomes.

This role is physically demanding and requires work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and terrain, including dense vegetation and at elevation.

About you

You’re physically fit and are committed to achieving outcomes for the Lord Howe Island community. You can persist with sometimes repetitive tasks and enjoy the outdoors. You have good attention to detail and adhere to relevant WHS guidelines.
