Lord Howe Island Board has an opportunity for a Procurement Officer to provide procurement support and assist stakeholders to plan, develop, source and manage procurement arrangements to effectively meet business outcomes and government directions.

This role will be responsible for preparing and managing tenders/EOI’s, evaluating responses, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations. 

You will be tasked with conducting sourcing activities in accordance with established policies and procedures to meet business needs and participate in negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements that will deliver value for money procurement outcomes.

You will be required to implement and contribute to the development of contract management plans, resolve issues, monitor performance and negotiate contract variations through effective supplier relationships to enhance business outcomes.

This position can be based on Lord Howe Island or flexible workplace/remote option on the mainland.

You will have highly developed organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while undertaking a high-volume workload.

 

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
