Vehicle registration

The Lord Howe Island Board is an Authorised Safety Check Station.

Vehicle safety checks

Your renewal notice will indicate if you need a safety check to renew your registration.

Safety checks are conducted every Wednesday between 7 am and 12 noon by the Board's Plant Officer.

The Board will send a copy of your safety check results to Transport for NSW electronically to allow you to complete your registration renewal online.

Alternatively, the registration process can be completed by mail, phone or at a motor registry. Refer to your renewal notice for details.

Book your safety check

Contact the Board's Administration Office to book your safety check. You will need to bring your renewal notice and payment for the safety check fee.
