Lord Howe Island to Go Ahead With Rodent Eradication Program
The Lord Howe Island Board has made the decision to proceed to the implementation stage of the Lord Howe Island Rodent Eradication Project to eradicate invasive rats and mice from World Heritage listed Lord Howe Island.

The NSW Chief Scientist and Engineer, Professor Mary O’Kane has now released the independant Human Health Risk Assessment (HHRA) report undertaken by Ramboll Environ Australia and overseen by the Office of the Chief Scientist and Engineer (OCSE) for the LHI Rodent Eradication Project.

The Lord Howe Island Board (Board) has undertaken a review of its Vehicle Importation, Transfer and Use Policy. The Board developed this policy to manage the number of vehicles approved for use on the Island in accordance with the provisions of the Lord Howe Island (LHI) Act 1953 and the LHI Regulation 2014.
