Review of the Board's Dog Importation and Management Policy

At its meeting, held on Monday 14th & Tuesday 15th May 2018, the Lord Howe Island Board (Board) reviewed the Dog Importation and Management Policy (Policy) and resolved to place the proposed changes to the Policy on public exhibition.

Changes to the Policy are required to strengthen the Board’s ability to achieve its aim to encourage responsible dog ownership and to provide adequate areas for dogs and their owners to exercise both on and off leash.

Members of the public are encouraged to inspect the documents held at the Boards Administration Office and to make submissions during the exhibition period.

The revised Policy is now on public exhibition for a period of 28 days from Friday 19 October to COB on Thursday 15 November 2018.

Copies of the policy will be on display at the Board's Administration Office during normal business hours and electronic copies can be found on the link below.
