Draft Procedure for Cleaning Second Hand Vehicles, Plant and Equipment prior to Importation

The importation of used or second hand vehicles to Lord Howe Island requires approval from the Lord Howe Island Board in accordance with the Vehicle Importation, Transfer and Use Policy 2015.

The Board has revised the procedure for cleaning of second hand vehicles prior to importation to include second hand plant and equipment to reduce biosecurity risks.

The Draft Procedure for cleaning second hand vehicles, plant and equipment prior to importation will be placed on public exhibition for a period of 28 days, from Monday 7 November 2016. Copies of the Draft Procedure will be on display at the Board's Administration Office during normal business hours and electronic copies can be found on the Board's website www.lhib.nsw.gov.au.
