Board Services - COVID-19 Safety Measures

With the Island opening, the Board has updated COVID-19 safety measures for Board services.

Unless you are flying, please try to avoid going into the airport terminal.  It is recommended that you drop off and meet passengers outside.

From Monday 12th October 2020 the service operating hours will be 6:30am to 10am on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

The following measures will be in place to help us manage COVID-19 safety:

  • We are operating a drop-off, pick-up system.  Please unload your bins and cardboard at the western entrance door to the WMF.  Staff will then empty your bins and place them ready for you to collect at the northern door.
  • You do not have to queue, but please keep 1.5m distance from other people.  If the bin unloading area is crowded, please wait until there is space.
  • Bin washing facilities will not be available.  This is due to the risk associated with many people touching taps and hoses in this area.
  • The Re-use Shed will be closed during service hours.  If you have items to drop off for re-use, please advise the WMF staff.  The Re-use Shed will be open once service is completed and will be limited to two people at a time.

Continue to dispose of used face masks, gloves and disinfectant wipes in a plastic bag and place in your general rubbish bin.

Your patience and cooperation is appreciated.

The Board is open for business.  Please direct all enquiries to the front office in the first instance.  If you have a requirement to go through into the offices or depot, you will need to sign the visitor register.  Please do not walk into the workshop or office areas without first signing in and discussing your enquiry with the office.  This applies to all enquiries including vehicle inspections, plant hire and contractor meetings.

The liquor store is open for business.  Please observe the COVID-19 safety measures.
