From 22nd February 2021, heavy machinery will be operating on Lagoon Beach in the area between Windy Point and the southernmost load line opposite the Environmental Tours boatshed. The machinery will be carrying out erosion management work to the sand dunes at Windy Point.
It may be necessary to limit public access to some sections of Lagoon Beach during periods of machinery operation.
The Lord Howe Island Board (LHIB) has recently purchased an additional Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) boosting the number of island accessible AEDs available in public areas. This latest acquisition has been installed on the inside western wall of the Ned’s Beach shed.

The Renewable Energy Project will be carrying out wiring modifications in the powerhouse and this requires the electricity supply to be switched over to the standby generator. This will cause 2 power supply interruptions that will affect ALL CUSTOMERS. Wednesday 3rd February 2021 from 7:30am to 8:30am and Wednesday 3rd February 2021 from 3.30pm to 4:30pm
