Community Grants Program

The Lord Howe Island Board administers an annual Community Grants Program. Grant allocations are determined by the Chief Executive Officer in consultation with Elected Board members.

This program aims to support groups for amounts of up to $10,000 for one-off activities or projects that benefit the Lord Howe Island community. These may include (but are not limited to) community events, services, sport, recreation, arts, welfare and other community purposes.

The Lord Howe Island Board Community Grants Policy can be downloaded from the Policies area of this website.

Applications are now being sought from persons and non-profit community groups who wish to apply for financial assistance.

Recipients of Community Support Grants are required to sign a funding agreement prior to receiving grant monies, and are to complete an acquittal form at the end of the grant period.

Applications should be lodged using the LHIB’s application form by the close of business on Friday 30 September 2016.  Late applications will not be considered.

Further information and copies of the application form are available from the Board’s Administration Office.
